We are excited and pleased to report that, through the culmination of a tremendous effort from of our 1901 Capital Campaign Committee and our congregation's response to The Carter Challenge, the Social Hall and Cocktail Reception Pavilion are under a contract for construction. A permit application has been submitted to the City of West Palm Beach. Construction will commence within the next few weeks.
After reviewing contractor bids, our previous builder, IBIS Building Corporation, was the most aggressive and won the contract. We previously enjoyed a very good relationship with the principals of this company and we are looking forward to working with them again.
The Social Hall and Cocktail Reception Pavilion will not only be beautiful, but will also be built with technology to enhance our celebrations, community events, theater productions, seminars, services and family activities. Multiple projectors and retractable video screens will provide for video presentations, changing scenery and services to be simulcast from the Sanctuary into the Social Hall. LED lighting will also be installed to help create the appropriate ambience for services and festive occasions.
We have, in this moment and with respect to this aspect of Temple Israel, answered Hillel. Who are we, if not for ourselves? We are Temple Israel and we are building our Social Hall and Cocktail Reception Pavilion to serve our congregation. If we are only for ourselves, then what are we? We are Temple Israel - innovating and building to meet the needs of our local Jewish community. And, if not now, when? We are Temple Israel and we are building now.
Many items that have been built on our campus and many items to be built in the Social Hall and Cocktail Reception Pavilion remain undedicated. Please take this opportunity to make a donation and be a part of the future of Temple Israel.

1901 Return and Renovation Committee
Supporting Temple Israel and it's valuable work in the community can be given in many different ways. Our volunteers give their time, our congregants participate in worship and learning programs, and our donors make contributions. All of it is needed and very much appreciated. If you have some extra time to give, please check out our page on TI Committees where you can find your interest and work there. If you are looking to support the Temple by attending an educational program, please check out our Adult Learning page.
