1901 RENOVATION AND RETURN PROJECT UPDATE – THE CARTER CHALLENGE
I hope you are enjoying a wonderful summer! The 1901 Return and Renovation Committee has enjoyed a productive summer. We re-bid our plans and have received substantial and new donations to our Capital Campaign. We are moving closer to creating a beautiful Social Hall and Cocktail Reception Pavilion that will enable us to call our 1901 Renovation and Return complete. Our plans not only contain a ballroom, but also a reception pavilion, both of which will be beautiful spaces for our congregational family to enjoy educational, cultural, religious, social and life-cycle events.
If you have not heard, then please take note: Don and Nancy Carter have challenged us to match the $300,000 contribution they will make if we successfully raise the same amount in new donations by December 15, 2014. If we meet the challenge, we can, with the Carters’ donation, renovate our Social Hall.
We are pleased to report that in response to the Carter Challenge, we have received more than $125,000.00 in new donations. We have also received an additional $28,000.00 pledged to be paid to meet the Carter Challenge. Therefore, we are $175,000.00 from our receiving the money we need to meet our goal! We need your help!
Call Linda Solomon in the Temple office for a brochure that outlines what our new Social Hall and Cocktail Reception Pavilion will, with your participation, look like and the dedications that remain available throughout our campus. See if there is something that especially catches your eye. Please discuss this vital aspect of our renovation and return to 1901 N. Flagler Drive with either Linda or me to let us know your wishes. We look forward to moving into the future of Temple Israel with you!
